We connect you with trusted UK–Nigeria freight operators — one enquiry, matched to the right service. Here’s what that looks like from your side, start to finish.
Step 1: Tell us what you’re shipping
You — about 2 minutes. Fill in the quote form, WhatsApp 07587484631, or email quotes@sendcargotonigeria.co.uk with three things: what you’re sending (a barrel, boxes, a car, a pallet), the postcode it’s collecting from, and the city and state it’s going to. Photos help but aren’t required. What you’ll see: confirmation that a real person has your enquiry, usually the same day.
Step 2: We match you and confirm your guide price
Us — usually the same day. We pass your enquiry to the operator whose service genuinely fits the job — barrel specialists for barrels, RoRo operators for vehicles, groupage for boxes. You’ll see a guide price drawn from the typical market ranges on our price list — your exact quote depends on the operator, weight and destination, and the operator confirms the final figure with you directly.
Step 3: Collection or drop-off is arranged
The operator — at a time you agree. Collection can be arranged across East London and the East of England — Ilford, Barking, Romford, Walthamstow, Dagenham and out through Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Prefer to drop off at the operator’s premises? Say so and it’s arranged. What you’ll see: a confirmed date, plus packing and labelling guidance so nothing gets delayed. Check your area on the collection pages.
Step 4: Shipping and customs — handled
The operator — 5–7 working days by air, 4–8 weeks by sea. The operator books the freight, prepares export paperwork and handles Nigerian customs clearance at the other end. Sea timings can stretch when Lagos ports get congested, so build in slack for December. You pay the operator directly at this stage under their terms — no payment is ever taken on this site.
Step 5: Delivery to the door in Nigeria
The operator’s delivery network — days, not weeks, after clearing. Your goods travel the final leg to the door, anywhere across all 36 Nigerian states — Lagos in 2–3 days after sea clearance, further cities typically 2–5. The recipient signs, you get confirmation, done. See exactly where deliveries reach on where we deliver.
How your delivery is tracked
Updates come from the operator carrying your goods — most confirm collection, departure, arrival and clearance by WhatsApp or phone, and some issue a shipment reference you can quote. This isn’t parcel-courier tracking with a live map; corridor freight works on milestone updates, and that’s normal.
What we add is a constant point of contact. If updates go quiet or something doesn’t sound right, message us on 07587484631 and we’ll chase the operator on your behalf. One enquiry, one number, the whole way through.
Common questions about the process
Do I pay Send Cargo To Nigeria or the operator?
Always the operator, directly, under their terms — usually at or before collection. We take no payment of any kind on this site: no deposits, no card details. That separation is deliberate: your money goes to the company physically carrying your goods, and only after you’ve accepted their confirmed quote.
How long does the whole process take, door to door?
Air shipments usually complete within 2 weeks of collection: 5–7 working days in transit plus collection and final delivery. Sea runs 4–8 weeks to port, then typically 2–5 days inland. December is the busy season — sea freight for Christmas should be booked by early October.
What if something goes wrong mid-shipment?
Contact us first on 07587484631. The operator is contractually responsible for the shipment, but we stay your point of contact and will chase, translate freight-speak and push for answers. For cover on valuable goods, ask about insurance when the operator confirms your quote.
Can I decide between air and sea after I enquire?
Yes — “not sure” is an option on the quote form for exactly this reason. As a rule of thumb: air from ~£5/kg lands in 5–7 working days; sea at £2.50–£3.50/kg takes 4–8 weeks. We’ll lay out both guide prices so you can choose with real numbers.
Is there proper tracking like DHL or Royal Mail?
Not a live map, no — and no UK–Nigeria groupage service honestly offers one. You get milestone updates from the operator: collected, shipped, arrived, cleared, out for delivery. Some operators issue a reference number to quote. If an update is overdue, message 07587484631 and we’ll find out where things stand.
